01
Who We Are
Sadaf Bridal is a hair and makeup business operating from a private studio in Jordan Springs, New South Wales, with selected mobile services available on request. This policy covers the website at sadafbridal.com.au and any information you provide when booking or enquiring.
02
What We Collect
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your event date, event type and the service each person needs
- Whether you would like a studio or mobile appointment, and your address or suburb if mobile
- Details about your hair, such as length, thickness and whether you use clip-in extensions
- Whether you wear contact lenses
- Any allergies, skin sensitivities or skin conditions you tell us about
- Any photographs you choose to email in
- Anything else you include in your message
You do not need an account to use this website, and we do not ask for anything beyond what is needed to answer your enquiry or run your appointment.
03
Health Information
The enquiry form asks about allergies, skin sensitivities and skin conditions. Information about allergies, skin sensitivities or skin conditions is treated carefully because it may be sensitive personal information.
- It is collected only with your consent, which you give by choosing to tell us. You can leave the field blank.
- It is collected for one reason: so that products can be chosen safely, a patch test can be suggested where sensible, and enough time can be allowed.
- It is never used for marketing, never sold, and never shared other than where the law requires it.
- It is seen by Sadaf. Where a booking involves an additional stylist or assistant, only what is needed to keep you safe on the day is passed on.
- You may ask us to correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Where we are legally required, or reasonably need, to retain certain records, we may not be able to delete them immediately.
If you would rather not put it in writing, leave the field blank and raise it with Sadaf directly before your appointment. Please do tell her one way or the other, because the booking policies place responsibility for undisclosed reactions with the client.
04
Why We Collect It
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
- To confirm, manage and remind you about your appointment
- To prepare the right products and plan enough time for your booking
- To take payment for deposits and services
- To keep records required for running a business, including tax records
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
05
Enquiry Forms
When you send an enquiry through this website, the details are delivered straight to the Sadaf Bridal business email address by the Sadaf Bridal website itself. Your enquiry is sent to the Sadaf Bridal business email account and may be processed or stored by the service providers we use to operate our website and email.
- Your enquiry is sent as an email and stored in the business email account
- Spam is filtered by a hidden field and a timing check built into the form itself. This sets no cookie, and no third party is involved
- Your enquiry is also stored in a database on the website server, so that Sadaf can manage it, quote it and reply to it. It cannot be opened from a browser by anyone
- That record includes the date, time and version of the booking policies you accepted, along with your name, email, phone number and IP address
06
Photographs You Send Us
After enquiring you are asked to email your inspiration photographs and a clear recent photograph of your face and hair. There is no photo upload on this website. Sending them is optional.
- They arrive by email and are stored in the Sadaf Bridal business email account, the same as any other email
- They are used only to plan and quote your booking
- They are never published. A photograph you email in is not the same as consenting to photographs of your finished look, which is asked separately and covered below
- They are deleted along with the rest of the enquiry once it is no longer needed
- You can ask for them to be deleted sooner at any time
Please only send photographs of yourself, or photographs the other person is happy for you to send.
07
Third Party Services
This website is deliberately built to rely on very little outside itself. The typefaces, icons, stylesheets and scripts are all served from this domain, so simply reading these pages does not hand your details to anybody else.
- Website hosting and the outgoing mail server are provided by Murphys Technology Pty Ltd, in Australia
- The Sadaf Bridal business mailbox is a Google (Gmail) account, so your enquiry, your reply and any photographs you email are received and stored by Google
- If you follow a link to Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, those companies apply their own tracking once you arrive on their site. That is the only point at which your browser contacts them
There is no online booking or payment provider. Bookings are not taken through this website and no card details are collected by it at any point.
Google is based overseas, which means information held in the business mailbox may be stored or processed outside Australia.
08
Photographs of Your Look
Photography consent is optional. Sadaf will ask before photographing your finished look, and will only use those images for the portfolio or social media if you have agreed.
Declining does not affect your booking. You can withdraw consent for future use at any time. We will remove the image from platforms and materials under our control where reasonably practicable. Full detail is in the booking policies.
09
Cookies and Analytics
This website does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you or follow you around the internet.
- The enquiry form sets no cookies of any kind
- The typefaces and icons are served from this website rather than from an outside font service, so reading these pages does not announce your visit to anybody else
- If you follow a link to Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, those sites apply their own tracking once you arrive
10
Storage and Security
- Your enquiry is stored in a database on the website server and is not reachable from a browser. It is not sold or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. Relevant service providers may process or store information where necessary to operate the website, email and business systems
- A copy of every enquiry, and any photographs you email, are also held in the Sadaf Bridal business email account
- The record of accepted booking policies is held both in that database and in a file on the server that cannot be reached from a browser
- The website is served over a secure encrypted connection
- Access is limited to Sadaf and, where needed for maintenance, our website provider
- No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security
11
How Long We Keep It
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking, and any photographs sent with them, are kept for six months after the date of your event and are then deleted. Counting from the event rather than from when you wrote means an enquiry sent a year before a wedding is still there while the wedding is still coming
- Health information given with an enquiry is deleted on the same basis, and is not carried forward into a general record
- Booking and payment records are generally kept for at least five years, or longer where required for tax, accounting, legal or dispute-resolution purposes
- The record of accepted booking policies is kept for as long as the booking record it belongs to
- A history of what happened to each booking, such as when it was accepted or declined, is kept indefinitely so that any later question about what was agreed can be answered. It holds no personal information. Once your enquiry is deleted, what remains is a record of events with nothing in it that identifies you
- Photographs of your finished look that you have consented to are kept while that consent stands. If you withdraw consent, they are not used again, and are removed from platforms and materials under our control where reasonably practicable
You can ask for anything to be deleted sooner than these periods. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary for business, legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
12
Access, Correction and Deletion
You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or request deletion of information we hold about you. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or where reasonably necessary for business, legal or dispute-resolution purposes. Email sadafbridal2@gmail.com or call 0435 861 880 and Sadaf will respond within a reasonable time.
Some records may need to be kept where the law requires it, for example financial records. If that applies, it will be explained to you.
13
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your personal information has been handled, please raise it directly with Sadaf first so it can be sorted out. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
14
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time as the business or the services it uses change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
